This year, NoVES will share the Thanksgiving tradition with our friends at Washington Ethical Society and The Baltimore Ethical Society. The event will be hosted by the Washington Ethical Society. Come join the celebration at 10:30 on Sunday, November 23rd.
The event will feature the telling of an updated Stone Soup/Stone Salad Story through a skit. Volunteers will be recruited for the skit at the celebration.
WHAT TO BRING:
Traditionally, NoVES Members have brought Salad Ingredients to make our Stone Salad. WES and BES members will bring ingredients for Stone Soup.
Unlike past events, ingredients will be collected at the door so the chefs can assemble the Salads and Soups (there were concerns about too many hands on the ingredients). Be sure to label your containers with the ingredients (so food allergies can be considered) and add your name so you can easily retrieve your container. Bring extra containers to take home soup and salads too.
As in the past, we will ritually assemble soups and salads only this time we will be using stand-in representatives for ingredients.
In addition to salad ingredients, please consider bringing Cider, Bread, Cheese, or Dessert.
