Visitors are always welcome to our festivals!

Spring Festival  With song and readings by members and performances by the Sunday School, the Society welcomes the warmth and beauty of the Spring season. The community makes cash donations to a local charity. A festive brunch follows the platform.

Winter Festival On the Sunday following New Year's Day, NoVES celebrates Winter Festival. The platform segment of the program consists of music, dance, and readings based on themes such as hope, children, peace, and love. Members bring donations of warm clothes for a local homeless shelter. The Society then shares a delicious pot luck lunch.

Stone Salad On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the Society celebrates Stone Salad. Stone Salad is a reenactment of the popular children's story STONE SOUP. The community builds a huge community salad with donations of salad ingredients brought by members. The Society also recognizes its ethical roots by making donations of food to a local food pantry. The festival ends with a festive community meal. Check out our Stone Salad 2017 play "Thanksgiving at the Tappletons" below.

End of Summer Community Picnic Held Sunday of Labor Day weekend, the picnic and BBQ is a way for us to connect and have fun before our Fall season schedule begins.
