Jamie Raskin - Protecting our Constitution

Join us in a discussion with Rep. Jamie Raskin, a staunch defender of the rule of law, of his top priorities for congressional action and how the average American can step up to protect our democracy. Raskin was the lead manager in the second impeachment trial of President Donald Trump for inciting insurrection against the Union and served on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Raskin has proudly represented Maryland's 8th congressional district since 2017 and serves as the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee and co-chair of the Rapid Response Task Force and Litigation Working Group of the House Democratic Caucus. Previously, he was a three-term Maryland State Senator and a professor of constitutional law at American University. He has authored several books, including the New York Times #1 Bestseller “Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth and the Trials of American Democracy.”

Raskin is the founder and leader of Democracy Summer, the Democratic Party’s acclaimed nationwide program that has engaged thousands of young people in training for political activism and leadership for strong democracy and freedom.
