NoVES has become a partner with Money Out Virginia to sponsor Democracy Day - A Day of Advocacy on Jan 21, 2025. https://www.vademocracyday.com/
We will carpool together to Richmond, have an hour orientation and get written materials to distribute, spend two hours talking to our elected representatives about what we would like to see happening in Virginia, then attend a State General Assembly session, and some smaller committee meetings where we can listen to citizen testimony.
Following are just a few of the issues that Money Out Virginia supports
1. Restrict the personal use of campaign funds
2. Enhance disclosure of donation sources
3. Cap campaign contribution amounts
4. Start rank choice voting in VIrginia
5. Independent redistricting process
