This talk will cover the history of magic and religion in the Middle Ages. Also, the rise of the witch figure and the persecution of the witch in retaliation to the rise of female autonomy, political influence and bodily control enjoyed by the medieval female. Finally, the lasting consequences and influence on topics of feminism and the patriarchy in modern times.
