September is Banned Book Month and so for our Ethical action for September we are wanting to highlight this problem and we suggest as a group we DO something about it.
As stated in this article (and others like it) Virginia is one of the tops states for banning books.

Of course there are many more. Do a search online for banned book and you'll find hundreds of titles! What can you do? The American Library Association has a great list of things people can do from big things to small. You can tackle any of these you wish for this month and for this week specifically as our ethical action project. If we work together, we can make a change like Maryland has done recently as can be read in this article.
