NoVES Discussion: Wokeness. What is it? Is it Bad?

Last April, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the "Stop Woke Act" prohibiting education that makes people feel anguish about race, color, sex, or national origin. This Act protects fragile white people from feeling bad about past oppression and current racial and economic disparities. Despite this legislation, "Woke" remains elusive and hard to define. Exactly what is Woke? Why are some people feeling threatened by it?
