The Politics of Inclusion – Americas is not a Zero Sum Society
Part of the motivation for today's polarized politics is fear. Fear is multifaceted and complex. One source of fear is the idea we live in a zero sum society - that any gains by others necessarily come at my expense. This perspective views progress toward extending rights to marginalized groups as taking away from the rights of the dominant group. I will examine this idea and provide an opportunity for you to share your views.
