NoVES Discussion: Are there causes worth dying for?
Human history is replete with wars and examples of people so committed to their beliefs that they are willing to sacrifice themselves and others. Is this justified? What causes are worth dying for? When do the importance of causes rise to the point where violating the sanctity of human life to achieve them is permissible? Are you willing to put yourself on the line?
This discussion will take place at our regular meeting on October 23rd.
There will be a parallel zoom discussion for those who are unable to join in person.
