Trey Sherard: Anacostia RiverKeeper

Trey Sherard will introduce NOVES to DC's Anacostia Riverkeeper program.  He will present a brief history of the organization and give us an update on the work they are doing today to clean up the Anacostia Watershed.

Trey Sherard is the Outreach Coordinator, Staff Biologist, and Interim Riverkeeper in his ninth year now with Anacostia Riverkeeper, and his first year as Chair of the Anacostia Watershed Community Advisory Committee. Trey coordinates Anacostia Riverkeeper’s Clean Waterways cleanup series, Friday Night Fishing, management of the four Bandalong litter traps in DC and one in Maryland, and part of ARK’s green infrastructure program. He holds his USCG 100 ton Mariner’s Document for inland waters, and gives many of the Anacostia River Explorer boat tours. B.S. Biology Duke University.
