August Activities

After attending the amazing American Ethical Assembly in New York City last weekend and celebrating 150 years of Ethical Culture, I am filled with anticipation for our August events. The NoVES calendar has  a variety of activities listed including an online Colloquy, an in-person Philosophy Discussion Group, and an in-person walk at Green Spring Gardens.

We would love to see our members and friends this summer at any of these events, but especially hope everyone can join us at the Tri-Societies picnic on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Glen Echo Park in Maryland, and at the NoVES Annual Labor Day Weekend Picnic on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Lake Fairfax Park. We are in process of  preparing for our upcoming NoVES year.   NoVES board members are working on finding speakers on interesting topics, organizing fun social events and finding useful service projects. But we can use your help!  The Board will meet on August 29, so if you have any ideas for speakers, topics, events, or projects, please contact a Board member soon. Our first platform meeting will be on Sunday, September 13, 2025.  We hope to see you there!
